That’s All Folks - Trophy Presentation Time!!

With the racing completed it was time to get those prizes out with a brand new HPI kit and Trophies being presented to the Top 3 in every class along with the huge ‘TQ Trophies’ there was plenty to sort out. Of course not forgetting the numerous photo’s that RC magazines and proud parents wanted to take to remember the moment and all the ‘thank-you’ we make on behalf of all the sponsors.

Team Germany (All 50 of them)

Greece

The Brits

Tatsuro and myself handed out the trophies with a little help from Dries (our HPI Translator) on the microphone, working away to the end of the meeting — Dries did a magnificent job considering he’s never been to a race meeting before. Cheers Dries!!

The Swiss Team

Austria (50% of the team was Austrian)

The U-S-A

I think it’s about now were I send my personnel thanks to everyone in particular to Patrick who worked tirelessly in the run up to the meeting, of course everyone down at the track, in race control… oh nearly forgot to mention the chiefs and the fantastic food that was available all weekend. It’s not often you get offered Smoked Salmon and Prawn salad amoungst other things at model car races is it. Well you do if you go racing in France!!

Russia

Belgium

... and The host nation, FRANCE

Anyway, I have to say it was definitely one of the best race meetings I’ve ever been to and I’ve been racing long enough now. I don’t think you can ask any more of a weekend racing, or of a HPI World Final, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Until next time - that’s all folks.

Greg Hill

HPI Challenge ‘World Finals’ Co-ordinator.
